The Hypersensitive "One Issue" Mentality Strikes Again

The attack on Mitt Romney by the executive director of a Jewish organization struck me as not only laughable but also an excellent example of what I call the “one issue mentality” of many Jews. The “one issue mentality” measures and judges everything according to how it could affect Jews. The “effect on Jews” is the one issue. When Romney chose to announce his candidacy at a place supremely symbolic of American enterprise, The Ford Museum, which also happens to be in Romney’s home state, a Jewish organization applied the “one issue” test and decided that for Jews it was undesirable that Romney should make his announcement in a place honoring Henry Ford. Had Romney sought expert advice, he might be announcing his candidacy at a “Holocaust museum” or the Simon Wiesenthal Center.

The Jewish group’s criticism is not only silly; it will backfire. Now many people who never knew that Ford published a newspaper and a book critical of Jewish influences will read those very publications online! I’ve supplied a link below.

Here’s the news report.

From Forbes.com, Feb 12
The National Jewish Democratic Council "is deeply troubled by Governor Romney's choice of locations to announce his presidential campaign," executive director Ira Forman said in a statement.
"Romney has been traveling the country talking about inclusiveness and understanding of people from all walks of life," Forman said. "Yet he chooses to kick (off) his presidential campaign on the former estate of a well-known and outspoken anti-Semite and xenophobe."
Forman said Romney's "embrace of Henry Ford and association of Ford's legacy with his presidential campaign raises serious questions about either the sincerity of Romney's words or his understanding of basic American history."

Eric Fehrnstrom, a spokesman for Romney, said the candidate will go ahead with his announcement as planned.
"Governor Romney believes our country needs to put innovation at the forefront if we are to ensure a stronger, safer and more prosperous America," Fehrnstrom said. "The Ford Museum embodies that bold, innovative spirit."

Here you can read the actual articles from Henry Ford’s newspaper, “The Dearborn Independent”, which were collected into a book: The International Jew
— The World’s Foremost Problem

I suggested above that Ira Forman’s complaint would backfire by awakening a new generation to Henry Ford’s anti-Jewish ideas, and that’s true, but I question that “backfire” is the correct word. It is common knowledge (and I have seen private documents revealed in lawsuits which verify the fact) that some major Jewish organizations deliberately instill fear of antisemitism into the minds of Jews generally so that they will contribute money to the organizations which promise to protect them.

Here is more wailing, from Israel, on the same tune:

”Ha’aretz” It is worth reading because of its other complaints.

The National Jewish Democratic Council's opposition to racism and anti-Semitism ends where the MoveOn.org wing of the Democratic Party begins.

Unlike Henry Ford, who retracted and repudiated his anti-Semitic publications, MoveOn.org and Al Sharpton never apologized for or retracted their vicious racist and anti-Semitic hate speech. NJDC was among the organizations (also the ADL and Jewish Funds for Justice) that attempted to whitewash MoveOn.org on this issue. There is no doubt that MoveOn's moderators saw the hate speech and chose to let it stand, while censoring criticisms of MoveOn.org and of the hate speech.

MoveOn.org's anti-Semitic material is worse than anything Ford ever published, and it could have easily come directly from Hitler and Goebbels. The anti-Catholic hate at MoveOn's Action Forum could have come from the infamous 19th century cartoonist Thomas Nast. Hate and ridicule also were directed at (Republican) African-Americans and Evangelical Christians. The less said about Al "Bloodsucking Jews" Sharpton, the better.

It seems that NJDC has a far bigger problem with Mitt Romney giving a speech at the museum of a dead EX-anti-Semite than with Barack Obama appearing with live CURRENT anti-Semites (or at least those who welcome hate speech, i.e. MoveOn.org). That is because NJDC has the self-respect, dignity, and integrity of a cheap prostitute with no values or honor whatsoever.

Winged Hussar, I welcome your first comment on this weblog. I have to ask, however, for clarification about MoveOn.org. I've hardly heard of MoveOn.org until now. After receiving your comment I looked at their website and saw nothing of "hate speech" or antisemitic material present or past. You obviously have seen something that upset you. Please point me to it so I can understand your objection.

Meanwhile I've had time for just a glance at your blogs and see that you are coming from a direction which is quite different from mine. In fairness, I'll review your blogs more carefully

Hussar, since commenting on your comment earlier today I've looked at the link from your name, which takes me to several blogs/web pages maintained by a number of different people. It's unclear to me which is yours, but the gist of all of them is expressions of vicious, primitive hatred for Islam and Muslims. Sometimes there's icing on the cake and sometimes not, but the cake is all the same.

Despite the historical adornments (such as your name) which imply some sort of "Western patriotism" I suspect that the underlying purpose of all the websites is to defame Muslims, whether Arab or Persian, in order to create sympathy and support for Israel.

In your comment you refer to "hate speech". I've never seen more despicable hate speech than in the links you've supplied. The sites are crude and indefensible, the moral and ethical equivalent of scrawls on toilet walls.

I wish you'd tell us how you arrived at your pro-Israel, anti-Muslim views. I can tell you how I progressed to my anti-Zionist views, beginning in university. I get no profit from this blog other than the pleasure of seeking and telling the truth. What is your profit?

Obviously, the man has no inkling of the difference between fact and fiction. He quotes an old romantic film, Khartoum, as his 'source' for information on the Shi'a branch of Islam. He has a webpage entitled 'Palestine Solidarity Movement' only for the purpose of creating an insane quilt of bizarre conflicting political statements that might reflect poorly on Palestine only if there were any real connection here TO Palestine.

In the late medieval period, there were Polish mounted warriors who, in the efforts to bring old myths to life, constructed wings and went thus into battle. Their appearance was rather fabulous. I doubt any real 'Winged Hussar' would be part of this odd effort to contaminate contemporary political waters.
